The Horse Shoe

We were disappointed with our Sunday lunch experience. We had a table booked for 4:30pm, but when we arrived, the girl behind the bar simply pointed to a table and told us to sit there. The only options for Sunday lunch were beef or pork, and when we asked to see the specials board, we were informed that they had already run out of beef. I ended up ordering the roast pork, which came with mashed and roast potatoes, carrots, and overcooked cabbage. When the young girl asked if we wanted any sauces, I requested apple sauce, only to be told they had also run out of that. Overall, the food did not meet our expectations and the service was lacking.

The food at the restaurant was good, but the pub could use a bit of a renovation. The service was alright, although it was slow at times. The beer garden was nice and the location was convenient. The restaurant is also child-friendly.

Arrived early at the restaurant without realizing that the food service does not start until 6pm. We decided to have a drink or two while waiting. However, by 6pm, there was still no sign of food being served. After waiting until 6.20, we decided to leave just as the specials board was finally shown. We were disappointed with the slow service and lack of communication, so we will not be returning to this restaurant.

The staff were so so lovely and helpful, the food and drinks were great and arrived super quickly! Garden was lovely to sit in with the sun out. Felt very at home and welcomed, with our dog too.

Visited this establishment on 20th September for our anniversary meal only to be told the kitchen was closed, the time was 19.50, both on Facebook and their website stated that the kitchen closes at 21.00, decided to have a drink before leaving and listened to a member of staff tell a group of people that they're starter was on their table, we had contacted the establishment the day before and there was no mention of the kitchen closing early on a Monday, will never recommend this place to anyone, very very disappointed.
