The Banks Family have created a wonderful culinary experience at Oldstead featuring the very best of locally sourced ingredients cooked with a care and passion which is impossible to overlook. Well deserving of their 2023 Michelin Star Award. Service. Impeccable. Warm, friendly and attentive. Nothing pretentious about the experience, the staff really make you feel at home whilst maintaining smooth seemingly effortless service. Rooms. Excellent. Warm, clean functional, complete with roll top bath, walk in shower and reasonably priced mini bar. Perfect for a short getaway in the Yorkshire countryside. Rec: 5 Star Rebooking ASAP

Great lunch, if a little pricey at £135. Famed for using preserved items, all very tasty. Best little snack was the toast with the aged Killeen and pear, good chewy and crusty bread, sea bass was perfectly judged with asparagus n the sauce, plate lickingly good sauce with the variations of mangalita pork, and the sweet/savoury "dessert of mushroom, artichoke and woodruff.

The food at this restaurant is absolutely delightful, the staff is friendly and skilled. I had an incredible meal with perfectly matched wines, and couldn't find any faults. While the location may be a bit difficult to reach, once you arrive, especially if you are staying in one of their rooms, it's a charming village.

The food at this restaurant is simply amazing. It's prepared with great care and the flavors are exceptional.
