The Smoker Inn - Cheshire East

The food at this restaurant is fantastic with generous portion sizes. The new menu offers a wide variety of choices, including delicious mussels and chips and a tasty steak mushroom pie. The manager, Julie, is very welcoming and I highly recommend dining here.

This was our first time visiting this restaurant. It is a lovely and cozy pub with a friendly and attentive staff, even though they were very busy. The food was delicious, in fact, I would say it was the best meal I have had dining out. We will definitely be returning.

My wife and I decided to visit this restaurant for Sunday lunch without a reservation. We were seated promptly by the polite, attentive, and friendly staff. The menu was very good and included Sunday roasts. My wife enjoyed a small beef dinner, while I tried the delicious homemade steak and mushroom pie. We both loved our wine and Robinson's Stout. I highly recommend this restaurant and would like to thank the staff for their excellent service. We will definitely be returning soon.

The food was very good but... Don't pay in cash unless you give the correct money. You won't be given your change. We handed over our cash and waited for the change. And waited. And waited ... We came to the conclusion they had assumed they could keep the change as a tip. I was dissuaded by my husband not to ask for it back as we would have given a tip anyway but that's not the point. To assume this is in my opinion is a bit of a liberty. At no point did we say the change could be kept. If the change had been brought back we would have given a tip as the food and service were good, but this presumtiousness and quite frankly taking the p spoiled an otherwise good visit. Won't be back.

Have been to the old smoker many times over the years and been just ok , but since the refurb and new management we were surprised , attentive polite staff and the food excellent, fresh , good size portions wow!, we will return on a regular basis , our thanks to you all
