The Railway Inn - Cheshire East

My partner, son, and I went to this restaurant for Christmas Day. The food was good, but the prices were extremely high. We had to pay a £25 deposit, and ended up spending £170 in total. We ordered 2 adult Christmas dinners, 1 child Christmas dinner, and chocolate fudge cake for dessert. We had to pay separately for our drinks. In my opinion, the price for a 2-course meal was excessive. Unfortunately, we will not be returning to this restaurant. The food we received was essentially a Sunday roast with dessert, nothing extraordinary that justified the high cost.

Once again, we had an amazing Sunday lunch at this restaurant. I ordered the beef and my wife chose the turkey. The seating areas were lovely and the service provided by the friendly staff was excellent. The owners and all the staff were attentive. The prices were very reasonable for the delicious, traditional home cooked food. Our meals were served quickly and hot, and were absolutely yummy. This pub/restaurant is perfect for all occasions. I ordered garlic mushrooms but they didn't taste like garlic at all. The barbecued dish had an unusual taste that I didn't enjoy. The side of chips was enough to feed four people, but they weren't the best quality. There were an overwhelming amount of flies in the restaurant, with some even landing in my wine. I had to fish out at least half a dozen flies. The restaurant was nearly empty on a Saturday night, which was disappointing. It's a shame because the pub itself is nice, but the food was bad. I don't plan to return.

Just had a another lovely meal at the Railway. 4 different mains and all were absolutely amazing, portions so big and everything so fresh. Would definitely recommend this pub for a meal food is awesome and staff are really friendly.

Pleasantly surprised by this pub. It doesn't look a lot from outside but inside it is done out nicely. The food was very impressive indeed. My lamb shank was gorgeous but everyone was exceptionally pleased with the food and we will all be recommending. The lady behind the bar was really nice and friendly.
