Kent Hon - Cherwell

After trying several Chinese takeout options in Bicester, we can confidently say that Kent Hon is the top choice. The prices are fair, the shop is clean, the portions are generous, and the food is delicious. We highly recommend trying the Szechuan chicken.

I have been enjoying delicious meals from Kent Hon for over 20 years and have never been disappointed. Unfortunately, they had to close after a vehicle crashed into the building. However, I am thrilled to report that they have reopened after 2 years and the quality of their takeout is just as good as before.

I recently ordered takeout from this restaurant for four people. The ribs, honey pork, and noodles were excellent. I placed the order over the phone and it was ready in about 15 minutes. I picked up the food and brought it home, where it was still hot. They followed our request to not include peppers, although they removed almost all the vegetables, which was a bit excessive. Overall, it was a minor issue and I would still recommend this restaurant.

Second time we have ordered from here. Really enjoyed the food. Have been to another Chinese in Bicester and it was all sloppy and not nice. This however, was lovely, hot and fresh!

Many have said that this is the best Chinese in Bichester, and if not the whole of Oxfordshire, which led us here after shopping at Bichester Village. And the reviews weren’t wrong at all my family enjoyed the food soooo much and even said that it is comparable to Singaporean Chinese ‘zi char’ dishes. Definitely give it a try if you’re around the area!
