I met with a large group on Saturday January 10 (2024 at the Silamos tavern in the homonymous village of Heraklion. Although I had heard of the village, I had not visited it. Access was not difficult, Google maps informative. The tavern in a nice place, warm and welcoming, so are the people, owners and employees. The food will pleasantly surprise you! Delicious and well made. The shank is amazing, the veal liver is very tasty, the various dairy products are wonderful, dolmades, a variety of meats, extraordinary! But what stole the show were the eggplant patties!!! I highly recommend it!!! (Of course, you should reserve a table and if you want a joint, order it so that it is ready when you go.
