Chaa Ba Thai Cafe - Chermside West

The table cloths at this restaurant were filthy dirty. I suspect that they have never been laundered! I was left wondering what the kitchen area looks like from a food hygiene and general cleanliness point of view and also how this establishment gets past city...council health inspections.

This was a restaurant that we used to recommend to our friends . Our neighbours followed our advice and also used to love it. Maybe they changed cooks but food quality has gone down a lot. Tonight the rice was all dried up and hard....The jungle curry was a different flavour and terrible. Massaman curry was good and so was the chicken and cashews . Service was fast. Food was cooked quickly but the entire occasion was very disappointing. My daughter mentioned that the rice and Jungle curries were not so good and they fobbed it off. I think when restaurants think that they cannot be criticised, that is when patrons need to go elsewhere. A drop in patronage would make them wake up and smell the roses. I for one won’t be returning unless I am forced to. Our neighbours also said that the food quality had dropped . Time to find a real Thai restaurant.

I review 3 out of 5 because of the service, very slow and lots of mistakes, giving wrong food to costumers, we served wrong food and the other table too, some customers were upset already. We patiently waited our order for over an hour. Obviously...understaff, mostly no one in the reception as she helped in the kitchen. Food are yummy especially the fried rice so yumm but the food served not very hot seems like setting for a while before they serve it.if i come back i will ask them in advannce to serve the food hot and double check your order. Foods are Yummy.

I've only ever had takeaway here and it was really taste. I had the vegetarian pad kee mao noodle and asked for spicy and it definitely was. it took around 10 minutes and the staff were friendly. the restaurant was busy for a wednesday night...which is a great sign. will have to eat in one night.

Have eaten in and had home delivery and the quality never disappoints! Location isn't 5 star but the variety and quality of the food makes up for that. I'm working my way through all the duck options. Avoid the Valley hecticness and make the most...of the Northsides offerings.
