Wasserschloss Klaffenbach - Chemnitz

We spent a couple of nights at the hotel and went for a dinner in 'Keller '. As I 'm a chef myself, it is potentially problematic to please me ; . But i was very satisfied with this particular restaurant. First of all the prices are absolutely ok for this kind of place. We had 3 course meal plus a bottle of water and bottle of champagne and payed (with tips 85 euros. It 's ok. The service was very friendly. We both had soup as a starter, which was rich and tasty. I had salmon as a main course, which was top notch and the sides were tasty too. I actually asked to switch one side, which was not a problem at all. The dessert was a highlight of my meal (i have a sweet tooth i admit , i took a sample plate, where they had small protions of all the desserts they have. They were all very good. All in all i highly recommend this place, even if you are not staying in hotel itself. The kitchen chef obviously knows what he is doing ; .

In the local food like dear or the soup. Also the local dark beer and the local after dinner drink.

We stayed here for three nights. The photos and reviews read well. Hotel location is peacefull and the buildings and waterways make for pleasant surroundings. We were a little dissappointed with the rooms. Those on the tnird floor are in the roof and feel dark and claustraphobic due to the sloping ceilings. All rooms are pleasant but a little plain compared to the beautifull restaurant and surrouding buildings, especially the moated one. Pitty it's not part of the hotel! There is a choice of 4 differenet restaurants including the golf club. Which is good as there are no others to walk to. Staff were very friendly and helpful except the main restaurant staff who left a little to be desired.

Schönes Wasserschloß mit Hotel und Gastronomie. Kleine Ateliers bereichern den Schloßhof. Essen kann man im Hof oder in einem Kreuzgewöbe Gang in nettem Ambiente.

Das Wasserschloss Chemnitz ist in Klaffenbach ist ein ideales Ausflugziel für Chemnitz und weitere Entfernungen für die ganze Familie. Ein Spielplatz, ein Golfplatz, eine Reithalle, ein Teich, ein Wald und 4 gastronomische Einrichtungen mit Hotel bieten alles was das Herz begehrt. Es werden auch Hochzeiten und viele Konzerte abgehalten. Z .b. Roland Kaiser ,Heinz Rudolf Kunze ,auch der MDR überträgt Fernsehsendungen .Regelässig finden auch verschiedene Märkte statt. Das Schloss ist mit der Überlandstrassenbahn C 11 und mit Auto in ca. 11 Km. von Chemnitz super zu erreichen ! Auch für Wanderungen zu empfehlen. Warum bin ich so begeistert ??? Na, ich wohne selbst in diesen schönen Ort !!!!!!
