Zizzi Cheltenham

We arrived just before the booking period to wait five minutes while the assistent tried to find our booking. we were shown on the table and we waited for over 20 minutes no one came to take a drink order. we're gone after 20 minutes. it is a shame, because this was a valentine meal plan and the building was very nicely decorated was just a scandal over the bad service. Luckily there are many other beautiful restaurants nearby.

Zizzi was advertised around 7 as an opentable booking and had no recording about the booking for us, so that didn't get a nice table and they didn't know it was the 21st of my daughter, which meant that she didn't get birthday candles. an hour waiting for food. chips missed and only arrived when everything else was almost finished. regularly had to stand up to ask for more drinks / salt peppers etc., no one came and checked for us. ordered a Coc sunshade for pudding, waited over 20 minutes and finally came a banana lime zone. terrible service, don't eat amazing when it finally arrived. £103 for 4 people not great!

The best part is the beautiful location in an old church. eating was also good, but ultimately the building of the showstopper is!

Initially the service was ok, but we waited over half an hour to place an order for our dessert; in the end we gave up and decided to get the bill; it took over 10 minutes to get the attention of the waiter.

Reason for low score is due to having to wait nearer 2 hours for our food due to the staff “forgetting” to put our order through. Being sat there for so long waiting before it was even realised you would have thought with relevant care and attention someone would have noticed. Although we got some discount in the end after a number of conversations it didn’t seem to much of a big deal that we had waited nearer 2 hours.
