Cicheti - Cheltenham

The restaurant is closed, and there was a sign on the door that we discovered after we traveled to the city for our dinner reservation. This is truly disappointing; I had been here a few times for lunch and it was always excellent. I couldn't see any type of registration on OpenTable, which is incredibly frustrating. They shouldn't allow booking or taking card details for a restaurant that is closed. So, the one star is deservedly for them!

After making a reservation for lunch, we discovered that the restaurant has gone into liquidation—all the doors were closed, and there was a notice in the window. I tried to communicate this issue, but the chatbot at the end of my message didn't fully understand!

The food was incredible. We started with the pâté and shared a half cheese platter, which was delightful. The truffle honey was a standout—it’s a must-try! The waiter brought out the wine, and he carefully described the aromas and suggested how to enjoy each one. It was fantastic! The service was excellent; we had a few questions about the wine and cheese, and the waiter was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. I would recommend this place to everyone, and I’ll definitely be returning!

Lovely place to eat, good food (the sharing platteer was amazing) and very friendly, but not intrusive. I would highly recommend this place!

What a fabulous little venue! The host was kind enough to keep us a table outside (even though we were running a little late) as it was a lovely evening. Food was great, went for the Godfather platter and it was large enough for the 2 of us to sit and nibble on with great wine and cocktails. The staff consisted of just one, very hard working gentleman for whom nothing was too much trouble! Really enjoyable experience, we'll be back!
