Wagamama - Chelmsford

We ordered a few dishes, and one of them spilled all over the others. After that, everything was dry and unappetizing. The salad portion was wilted, with only a few slices of lettuce and a couple of small pieces of ginger, if that's what it was. The miso soup was watery and barely changed in flavor, with some small pieces of silken tofu that I think were cut up. Overall, I was extremely disappointed. For the price we paid, I expected much better quality, not dishes prepared with old ingredients. Additionally, a side dish we ordered was missing.

Having dined at numerous Wagamama restaurants, I was thrilled to see one open in Chelmsford. However, my experience so far has been disappointing. When ordering for delivery or collection, the wait times are usually quite long, often exceeding 30 minutes. Consequently, the katsu curry is often overcooked and tough, while the sweet potato frequently lacks freshness. I can't say if dining in improves the situation, but if you're searching for a familiar chain with a few vegan options, it might still be a suitable choice.

I will always appreciate a good Wagamama. It's definitely on the pricier side, but the generous portions make it worth it, and the food is absolutely delicious.
