Also, the noise level made it almost impossible to carry on a conversation with our dinner guests. There is no acoustic assistance in this former Apple shed. The staff is always kind and helpful, and for that reason we may be back for a lunch.
The service was good, as usual. The duck confit was excellent but the ribeye steak was poor. The steak was too fatty and quite thin for a very expensive ribeye. In past visits the tenderloin steak and chicken were superb but this ribeye should have stayed in the kitchen. We'll be back to give them another try. But now we know what not to order.
We enjoyed our evening as the waiting service was top notch. The winery is a nice facility. I ordered the cassoulet which was an interesting twist on my favorite dish, but I would not order it again as it is not really a cassoulet. My wife's fish was too dry but she ate it. We both thought we would return but try something more basic like the steak frite or a hamburger as folks seemed to be enjoying those types of dishes.
Too expensive for what you get. We go to expensive restaurants often, but the prices here do not match the food quality. We won't be returning. We did like a few of their red wines though.
Our first time here and the food was outstanding. Service was a little on the slow side and not super attentive but was not terrible. Asked for a table close to the jazz music playing on reservation and was put in the back, several tables available when we arrived as well as when we left. The jazz music set a nice ambience and selection of wines was fabulous. We will return.
