The fried pickles were so good with the dipping sauce, the hush puppies could have used a bit more flavor. For entrees we had blackened chicken with shrimp and chicken n' biscuits. Yum
By far my favorite place to eat! The food is AMAZING, and the service is even better!
The food at The Bayou is top notch, the bar is incredibly relaxed and fun. The owner and the staff are so nice and welcoming. Every dish I have ever tried has been amazing. The Buffalo chicken and shrimp pizza-boys are some of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. The margaritas are so delicious and great portioned sized. If you are looking for real southern style cuisine this is the place to be. It is my absolute favorite locally owned restaurant!
DO NOT GO HERE!! Got the Gumbo to go. $14 later I 'm sitting at the dinner table with a TINY bowl of thin, oily gumbo with exactly ZERO pieces of chicken in it. Gumbo is supposed to be thick and hearty. And I have no idea how they think this cup of gumbo could be considered an entrée. Guess I 'll have to go to mcdonalds when I get hungry later. Besides the food being a terrible value and not very good, they did absolutely nothing to renovate or reinvigorate that space. Still the same old dingy dark place that Mr Bills was. The staff seemed to struggle to coordinate and ring out a take out order. And to quote Peter Griffin, they look like they 'd be sticky if I touched them . Overall a terribly underwhelming experience that I wish never to repeat. Very disappointing, I was really looking forward to trying this place!
We love the Bayou! Great ownership, great staff, amazing food, fun atmosphere, lots of parking, great music, awesome banquet room, and great pricing!
