We thought of drinks after a tour through the Chavin ruins. It was in the late afternoon and the light was faded when we went back to the city of ruins. Buongiorno is on the right side just after the bridge... we saw the beautiful gardens from the bridge and thought let's see if we can get a drink there. It is a beautiful place, with outdoor seating in the gardens overlooking Rio Hauchecsa. The Pisco Sours were delicious and the Cusqueña was cold. There were some cats in the garden... not sure if they were cats or heel, but we wanted to see them. After it became dark, some mosquitoes came out, so we continued to drive to the city to search for local artisanal souvenirs.
My husband and I came here after reading about it at the Lonely Planet. It lies above the river of the ruins in Chavin, so the location could not be better. It also has a beautiful outdoor terrace with many flowers and a view of the river and ruins. It is a bit more pricier than other restaurants in the city, but WELL is worth it. We had the peppercorns and it was amazing.
