Great food but very rude staff. It’s a great pity because the views and quality of food is great. If you have plenty of time and plenty of patience, try our luck and you maybe pleasantly surprised.

We came here as a group of 6 friends, eating inside as it was raining. The plat du jour was really delicious with “cabillaud sauce écrevisse, rice and mousseline de carottes”. We asked twice to the waiter which spice have been used with the carrots but never received an answer... Same for the coffee, we had to ask twice again and he repeated the order incorrectly. His uniform, especially his trousers, was not clean. It’s such a shame that the service was not up to the standards of the food.

Wir waren eine Gruppe von 6 Freunden und aßen drinnen, da es regnete. Das Tagesgericht mit Cabillaud Sauce Crevisse, Reis und Mousseline de Carottes war wirklich lecker. Wir haben den Kellner zweimal nach den Gewürzen für die Karotten gefragt, aber keine Antwort erhalten. Das Gleiche galt für den Kaffee, den wir zweimal bestellen mussten, da er die Bestellung falsch wiederholte. Seine Uniform, besonders seine Hose, war nicht sauber. Es ist schade, dass der Service nicht den hohen Standards des Essens entsprach.

Unsere Erfahrungen waren gemischt. Einige Gerichte, wie der gebratene Lachs und die Egli Filet, waren ausgezeichnet, während andere, wie das Vitello Tonnato und das Tartare mit zu viel Säure, enttäuschten. Die nicht hausgemachten Convenience-Ravioli für CHF 36.00 waren einfach lächerlich teuer für ein geschmackloses Fertigprodukt. Der Service war bemüht, aber nicht sehr freundlich, meist gestresst und kühl. Nur eine junge Dame war außergewöhnlich zuvorkommend, aufmerksam, freundlich und schnell, während die jungen Herren noch viel von ihr lernen könnten.

Having lunched here a month ago, and been impressed, we were eager to try a dinner, with friends. On arrival, when I identified myself, the lady told me that one of my group was already at the table. This was clearly untrue as we could see our friends elsewhere. The man at 'our ' table then refused to be re seated at which point the same lady took us to another, less advantageous table and advised me that this was indeed our table, contradicting what she had said earlier. Worse was to come: I ordered Tournedos with home made béarnaise sauce, but, when it came, there was no such sauce, just a small pot of plain mayonnaise instead. When I queried this, I was simply told that there was no béarnaise and that they hoped my mayonnaise would be OK instead. To be fair they did offer to replace my dish with another but, for me, that was not an option. When the bill came, there was no apology or reduction to the bill I was even charged an 8 franc surcharge for having taken the tournedos as part of a menu. It might be a while before I go there again.....
