The food was excellent, but we had trouble explaining to the waitress the order we wanted the food to come out in. This resulted in a bit of a mix of entrees and more substantial dishes. The quality of the food was excellent, with a slightly different take on the versions we are used to in Melbourne. The banquet seemed to be very popular as many people sat near us and then went downstairs for it. The best part of the meal was the cost, as it only came to $57 for 2 adults and an 11-year-old.
Last Saturday night, we enjoyed a meal at this restaurant. We were pleased with the quality of the food and the affordable prices. The service was excellent. The restaurant is conveniently situated near the Westfield parking lot.
Fantastic food - delicate flavours and a nice range. Polite and friendly service, and they greet you at the door. For some time I have been thinking of trying this place, but I was worried it would be too dark - from the outside it looks like an inky black hole, but each table has its own overhead lights hidden above them, so it was just fine.I tried their unagi bento and they had a nice set of little side-dishes including some beaautiful silken tofu and some very nice salmon sashimi. The unagi was flavoured beautifully, and the bento came with Miso. All in all I was very satisfied.
Cutesy Japanese waitresses & knowledgable head waiter added to the ambience of this next-step-up BBQ restaurant. The wagyu plate was decadent, but since I cooked it myself, I will take half the credit.
I recently dined at Bistro Caraibe and Le Tastevin earlier this week, and decided to try something more laid-back at Rainbow restaurant. We had just returned from St Barts and wanted to keep it simple.
