Przekaż informację zwrotnąI decided to celebrate some good news this Friday while enjoying a solo weekend on the Cape, and I chose to visit Viera on Main for their special half-off oysters promotion. The bartender was friendly and fun, adding to the experience. Viera maintains the classy atmosphere that Vinings had before it. I ordered a mix of Wellfleet and Chatham oysters, and when I mentioned my celebration to the bartender, he brought me a nice glass of Prosecco to toast myself with. I also treated myself to a margarita. A lovely group of young women walked in, and it turned out to be a rehearsal dinner party—looks like we were all celebrating something! Cheers to the happy couple and to my own good news!
The wine selection impressed us, and we particularly enjoyed a Pinot Gris from King Estate winery. I actually visited that winery in Oregon back in 2019, so I was thrilled to see it featured on the menu! To start, we ordered raw oysters and shrimp cocktail, along with the fritto misto. The shrimp cocktail was among the best I've ever had, and the fritto misto was exceptional, especially with the spicy aioli! I’m not a huge fan of oysters, but my mom raved about how fabulous they were. For my main course, I had the scallops, which were simply phenomenal! The corn sauce was rich and buttery, and the scallops were perfectly seared. My mom also enjoyed a special cod dish, which she loved. To finish off our meal, I treated myself to a salted caramel pretzel martini. The pretzels on the rim were a delightful touch, making it a perfect sweet and salty ending to our meal. I can’t wait to return the next time I’m in Cape Cod!
We shared our favorite frito misto, which always offers delightful surprises beyond just calamari; tonight, I think we had salmon and flounder, and it was absolutely delicious! My husband ordered the swordfish served with rice and haricot beans, while I opted for the panko almond-crusted flounder special, accompanied by pearl couscous and shrimp, also with haricot beans. Both dishes were outstanding! We were too full for dessert this time, and we wrapped up our meal and headed home within about an hour. It was a perfect dinner out!
We dined at Viera on Main with a party of 4, no reservation and the only table they had open was outside, which was absolutely lovely. We started off with drinks and appetizers...roasted cauliflower and the burrata. My two teens loved both appetizers so much that cleaned the plates. For the main course the girls both had swordfish, husband had a dinner special and I had the scallops. The Scallop dish was one of the best I have ever had! Everyone wants to go back tomorrow night to order it! Overall everyone loved their main course! Service was near perfect with a great mix of professional yet relaxed, knowledgeable, personable and attentive! What a delightful find as we strolled along the Main Street and happened to find it tucked off the street. We will be back here when we return in two weeks.
Very good food! Shrimp and lobster risotto was great, lots of lobster! Interior decor could use a little more warmth but all in all a great spot right in the heart of Chatham
