Epazote and Haricot - Châteauguay

My husband booked this tiny mexican restaurant , hidden away behind a bank, for my birthday dinner. We were 11 people and we took up the whole space for a private party. The food was wonderful, the owners were friendly and it felt like we had been invited into their home for an authentic Mexican meal. The decor is not fancy but it was homey and we loved it.

We hired Epazote and Haricot to cater a 35-person taco bar for our summer office picnic (held at a private residence.) John was very helpful from the start and was prompt with email responses and phone calls. He set up a perfect taco bar at a great price point (about the cost of most regular lunchbox caterers.) We set up four different options for taco fillers, plus guacamole, tortilla chips, cactus salad, rice and beans. Our staff LOVED the food and everyone went back for seconds (and thirds.) The service was super professional – he even showed up an hour and a half early to set up, plus accommodated a last-minute request to move inside due to rain. I highly recommend Epazote and Haricot for corporate events or parties!

Horrible experience - awful food and terrible service! We even saw the waitress putting back left over salsa off our table back into a container - cannot imagine what she planned to do with that salsa!

If you are looking for the neighbourhood kitchen that cares about the food it serves, this is for you. If you want the real Mexican taste, and not the american version or TexMex, then this is for you. This small restaurant offers take-out of in-house service. They will ensure you get the best and the most out of your dining experience.

Have been to real mexican restaurant in California and this restaurant in poor mexican food. Server or owner was rude. Asked for hot sauce or jalapenos and she said NO Corn tortilla? No Sour cream , cheese NO No shredded beef taco just chicken. The chicken was soggy, full of water Worst mexican food ever Don t waste your money
