My wife and I went to Banff from Vancouver and stopped at these places whenever we can ride. Golden Ears Farm is a locavore oasis. They are also a fruit stand with loads of local products, but their baked goods... are worth the stop (and it is worth going out the way honestly. Because this is the first review/list of this place, I cannot publish my photo of nectarine raspberry cake. It was elevated. Not excessively sweetened, the nectarines held enough texture to have a little tooth appearance left. The crust was fluffy and neither too damp nor dry (the perfect delivery device). The cookies were also phenomenal, the way you wish your mother ever made (but let us face, she was never so creative! .
The Golden Ears Farm is taken over by the Trans Canada Highway. So they have to move. Where, I don't know. Maybe they're moving to their farm.
