The owner's behavior was absolutely appalling when a child needed to use the restroom. I could hear her shouting at the child's mother from another room. The mother explained that she had asked the staff first and they had said it was okay, but the owner continued to shout that her staff wouldn't say yes to that. When a staff member spoke up and confirmed that it was okay for the child to use the restroom, no apology was offered to the woman. The owner continued her vile rant with a large glass of wine in hand as the shocked woman and upset child left. Absolutely disgusting.

After a long drive back home following a lovely family weekend getaway, we decided to stop for a break and freshen up. When we asked the bartender if we could use the restroom, she kindly pointed us in the right direction. However, upon returning, my elderly and disabled mother was confronted by a rude and aggressive individual at the bar, who treated us in a disrespectful and appalling manner. This unpleasant encounter led us to decide not to stay for a hot drink as initially planned. The disrespectful behavior of this individual, combined with the lack of intervention from the barmaid, made us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable, prompting us to leave and continue on our way home. It's unfortunate that the actions of a few despicable customers tainted what could have been a pleasant stopover. We would not recommend this place to outsiders, as it seems to cater only to a local clientele.

Just went in for a pint very friendly very good ale we loved it I highly recommend a visit

Booked last Saturday for this Saturday young girl asked for my name and telephone number turned up this Saturday and the manageress said we weren't booked and the kitchen was closed as they had a funeral but she was extremely rude but went to a pub up the road who were absolutely welcoming
