Budley's - Charlottetown

This restaurant is located in YYG airport, before you pass through security. I ordered the roast chicken dinner, which came with chicken, gravy, stuffing, coleslaw, cranberries, and root vegetables. We also ordered mozzarella sticks. The food was fantastic—everything was fresh, with no frozen items in sight. Our server was very friendly and attentive, taking her time with us, which made the experience even better. The ambiance was surprisingly nice for such a small airport, and since it's frequented by locals, you can tell it's a popular spot. It definitely lived up to expectations. I loved it!

The only dining option at Charlottetown Airport is located before security. There is another Budleys available after security, but it offers a limited menu and is not a full-service restaurant. I chose the bowl of lobster chowder, while my husband ordered the Aviator burger. The chowder, which was served with a homemade biscuit, was quite tasty and packed with lobster. My husband described his burger as amazing, and although I didn't try it, it certainly looked appetizing. I did sample some of his french fries, which were perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. Our food arrived relatively quickly, despite some concerns raised in other reviews, and we experienced no issues at all.

This is a small lounge located at the airport, right across from security. The atmosphere leaves something to be desired. The lounge area is more inviting, but it gets quite hot when the sun is shining in. I visited at 5 PM on a Sunday during peak tourist season, and there was only one person managing the cash register, bar, and restaurant. Needless to say, the wait was lengthy just to receive a menu. I ordered the lobster chowder and a kids' meal of chicken fingers and fries for my son. By the time our meals arrived, we were being called to security, so we had to rush through our food. The chowder was delicious, but I had to add ice cubes to cool it down enough to eat quickly and make it through security on time. I also had to put ice in my glass of white wine, as it was served warmer than room temperature. Overall, the meal was quite stressful. It's unfortunate because I think the food has potential. I might stop by again if I have the time, but they really need to improve their customer service to better accommodate the demand during the busy summer months at this small airport.

Ordered supper through dash delivery from this place. The food arrived hot and was so delicious. They forgot to add the gravy I ordered when it went out for delivery and this restaurant went above and beyond to make sure I received gravy with my meal. I will continue to order from this place on my trips over to pei based on how personable staff were and how tasty the meals are!! Highly recommend!!

The hours listed for this restaurant are incorrect. We planned to check before our visit because we wanted to grab something at the airport. We went through security at 7:30 PM on a Friday night, and the online information stated it would be open until 8 PM, but it wasn't. There were no machines available either, so we couldn't even buy a bag of chips or a bottle of water. Make sure to plan ahead and eat before you arrive. It's a good idea to bring an empty water bottle to fill up. We were advised to arrive three hours before our flight, which is scheduled for 2.5 hours, so that means no food or water for over five hours. I'm really not looking forward to it.
