The Whiskey Jar - Charlottesville

Loved the ambiance of the Whiskey Jar nestled in downtown Charlottesville! I was able to snag a seat facing the patio with a lovely breeze. I ordered the chicken and dumplings and cornbread, and the Jar Salad.I said to myself “this is the best cornbread I’ve ever had.” I didn’t even snag a full picture of it because it was so tasty. Wow. The salad was also very tasty! I wish the dumplings in the Chicken and Dumplings were more substantial (they were little balls) but the rest of the food more than made up for it.

Great place, nice selection of spirits and beers, not only whiskey. Food is good, I tried the trout, it was cooked at the correct point and I liked the seasoning. Nice atmosphere

Wow! Great selection of whiskeys! The food was reasonably priced and delicious! Service was top notch too.

Cool place got the shrimp and grits.Pretty good but a little soupy but all and all good stuff.

Great place. Make this a stop for food and beverage!
