Shadwell's - Charlottesville

As regulars we decided to dine here for Mothers Day. Our server that we started with was horrible, rude, and very unprofessional. Considering that we had been in the past and knew this wasn't the norm we explained the situation to the manager (who is also a owner). He went above and beyond to make sure that the rest of our lunch was a wonderful dining experience. We were taken care of with top notch service after that. Management and most of the staff at Shadwells really do value customer service, if you get otherwise just explain the issue and they will more than make up for it. Food as usual was excellent, especially considering the price point. What could have resulted in a horrible start to Mothers Day was quickly turned around, and ensured that we will continue to dine at and recommend Shadwells.

I went to Shadwells for dinner last night and I took my grandfather with me. During dinner he had to use the restroom so, naturally, I was incredibly nervous to send him in there alone. The staff was so kind and continued to check on him and let me go in and check on him as well. Unfortunately, he ended up falling and the staff was so quick to help. They had one of their regulars who was a doctor come in. They were so compassionate and caring. I cannot put in to words how comforting it is to see a place with such great customer service and genuinely kind staff! Hats off to you!

Our lunch was delicious, the menu is varied, the server was efficient friendly (but not chatty which is annoying), and parking is convenient. Met with 3 friends we agreed we would repeat. This new Shadwell's Rstaurant is a welcome addition to the Pantops area.

Great atmosphere, activity, sports, food specials, good service, good flavors. And very convenient to my hotel!

Both the food and service are great!! Bring bach the Shrimp and Grits. It is my favorite, but I've loved every meal!
