Pearl Island Cafe Catering

Yummy food and size take portions! We have the Tofu-Curry and Ruck chicken plates. Platters came with calender salad, spiced rice, fried plantains. Tofu Curry was really tasteful with a thick coconut Curry Gravy. Jerk Huhn was an unusual taste that made me feel a little hard on cardamom.

With less than a week in June, we needed 60 people catering for a commemorative service. Pearl Island was recommended to us by another catererer and they came for us in spades! They were a great help on the phone and easy to communicate. The food (2 restaurants and several secondary dishes were absolutely delicious! Everyone agreed that it would not have been better. The staff of Pearl Island Catering have left off the food (hot food hot and cold food as desired, on time, at the end of our memorial service. A shout out to Pearl Island to come perfectly, with just a few days notice the stress of making this important catering arrangement during a sad time for our family.

I eat more than any other place. I've probably eaten more than I cooked myself since I've been here two and a half years ago. The 3 star rating is because of the hours. I don't eat breakfast and don't eat lunch. This is a dinner spot for me and I don't really understand why they'd change their hours at 3:00. 8 seemed too early, but I could understand. Every time I want to eat here, they're closed... Edit based on the answer of the owners: Thanks for reading. I'll change the review. As a small entrepreneur, I know how hard it is to find people who are struggling. I also speak of my first job as a fast food job at minimum wage. I worked extremely hard, although I only got $7.25 because I think you should put in it all. Wishing you the best of luck looking for staff!!!

This is one of my favorite places to eat in all of Charlottesville. They have jerk chicken, jerk pork and jerk tofu. All of which comes in a wonderfully delicious platter with kale salad, rice, and pikliz (which is a perfectly spicy Caribbean coleslaw). This is a MUST STOP for anyone in the area or passing through.
