Oakhurst Inn Cafe - Charlottesville

I made a reservation two weeks ago for my birthday brunch and travelled into town to specifically go here. Upon our arrival, the hostess stated they called me that morning to let me know my reservation was cancelled because they decided to close early. The employee who told my friends and I that they were closing was completely rude and unempathetic that we now had to figure out a different place to eat. We had to call several other places to try to be fit in and everywhere

We were staying at the Oakhurst Inn and decided to stop by on a snowy spring morning. The caramel macchiato and chai latte were excellent. I have an egg allergy, but my partner said the quiche was very tasty. I enjoyed the blueberry muffin, which was the best I've had in quite some time. The service was good, and it was a lovely place to sit down and enjoy a meal.

We had a fantastic Sunday brunch featuring Grand Marnier French toast and eggs! We appreciated the reservation policy, which helped create a cozy atmosphere without feeling overcrowded in the intimate dining rooms. The clean and appealing interior gave off a warm, home-like vibe.

I had the waffles $10) with Orange Curd, Grand Marnier Chantilly Cream, Maple Syrup. The waffles were not thick Belgium waffles. They were the thin ones. The orange curd was nice but the whipped cream did not taste of Grand Marnier. The house is pretty with lots of windows. We also had the Farm Sandwich $13). It was good. The lattes were plain but tasty.

Food was good. Coffee was trash. Food: The Farm Sandwich and the Waffles were delicious. I was worried that the sandwich would be too heavy when I read the ingredients, but it was well made, well portioned, and well balanced. I would recommend that or the waffles if you?re feeling the sweeter side that morning. I didn?t get the garlic fries but someone else got them and they smelled soo good I?d definitely try them.
