Lampo2go - Charlottesville

If you've got a toddler in tow, save yourself the trouble of driving to Lampo for an hour's plus wait and stay in IX Park like we did! We came back to this spot and took our pizzas and meatball sandwich to go. The two pizzas were meant to be eaten on site, so the taste test at home was so-so, but the meatball sandwich was worth every penny! The staff at the window was friendly and fast! Lots of nature surrounding you, so you feel like relaxing and waiting. Highly recommend the meatball sandwich!

I ordered the DOC Margarita pizza and it was so good I was genuinely sad when I finished it because the experience was over.Crust: rich, flavorful, soft but crunchy, wonderfully chewy, but fewer air bubbles than I prefer.Sauce: maybe the best pizza sauce I have ever hadCheese: perfect flavor, but not enough.As a general pizza I give it ?????Comparing it specifically to neopolitin pizza you could get in Italy or NYC I give it ????

Easy menu, easy to order, food is great but a little pricey. Expect to spend close to $20 a person. Only reason why I gave the atmosphere 1 star is because there is no atmosphere, it’s a pick up place so if you want to eat there you have to find your own space

As promised, it’s awesome. Pizza and expanded menu is great. Get the meatball as it’s awesome. Staff is amazing and super accomadating

We love Lampo but have been burned by Lampo2Go two times in a row now. The pizzas were very under sauced and were like eating soft and cold bread, not hot and crisp pizza like at the restaurant. We picked it up about 10 minutes before our estimated time too, hoping to catch them fresh out of the oven, but they were already in a waiting oven to keep warm. We expect more, especially considering they’ve bumped the prices about 40% in the past few years.
