Red Rocks Cafe - Charlotte

Let's start with the food. I tried the chicken and waffles, which was just okay. It wasn't anything special and didn't impress me enough to give it more than 4 stars. However, the pomegranate mimosa was delicious. I enjoyed it so much that I ended up ordering another one! My husband had the shrimp and grits, which he found to be lacking seasoning. My friend ordered the ribeye steak, but it came out rubbery. They made her another one, but it was still just okay. Despite the food not meeting expectations, the service was exceptional. The food arrived promptly and the atmosphere was cozy. I would return to this restaurant because of the great service and friendly staff, but I would try a different dish next time.

A friend and I decided to try a new restaurant while visiting Charlotte for the day. We were greeted warmly at the entrance and seated right away. The food and drinks were delicious and served quickly. The potato chips appetizer was particularly outstanding. We will definitely be coming back to try more dishes.

My family visited this restaurant for the first time on Mother's Day and we were all delighted with our experience. I enjoyed a delicious strawberry mimosa and ordered the crab stuffed trout with wild rice and cheese grits. While the crab was tasty, the trout was slightly overdone and tough, and the cheese grits were more chunky than creamy. Despite this, my family enjoyed their ribeye, dill salmon, and chicken waffles, all of which were tasty with generous portions at fair prices. We sat outside under a canopy, which felt great, and our server Liz was very sweet. The ambiance of the restaurant was welcoming and I would definitely return, but next time I would try the lobster ravioli which sounds great. Overall, a good experience with some room for improvement.

(Late Post) The girls and I love to try new places. We went here Restaurant Week Summer 2021. Service was great and the food was delicious! We shared appetizers of Buffalo calamari and the Spinach dip, we were nearly fighting over it. My friends raved about the bbq salmon and the shrimp in her jambalaya. The chicken I had was flavorful and juicy and the hollandaise sauce was divine. They have a nice patio also. Would definitely go back!

Dinner there this weekend, Tina took great care of us. Sitting on the winterized patio was okay, though they need something between ice cube or blowtorch for the ambient heaters. We were sweating
