Queen City Craft And Gourmet

I went to my first beer dinner at Queen City Craft and Gourmet on May 16th. It was a 5 course meal where they pair the food with the beer. The beer was from Mother Earth Brewing in Kinston, NC. I have never heard of this brewery, but I was very impressed and loved their beers. The Endless River Kolsch was my favorite. The chef at Queen City did a great job with the food. The owner of Queen City, Charles, sat with us for a while. He is very nice and passionate about food and drinks. His wife Cat made the dessert. This was a very cool event, and I look forward to coming back to Queen City again soon.

This is our new favorite restaurant! I don't know what magic they use in their burgers, but absolutely nothing compares. Hands down the best. And the beef stroganoff is the things dreams are made of. Love the hit pretzel appetizer too. Mike has been our server every time and he is just wonderful. Can't wait to get back!Food: 5/5

We arrived on a rather quiet night. The beer selection was great. We started with a charcuterie board which was rather pricey because we added cheese but was delicious. Entrees we’re cooked to perfection and wait staff was pretty amazing. I’d definitely come back…just skipping the cheese next time

Food was amazing. Service could be a bit better. I had to flag down the server for water once or twice and that took a while. Wish that would just happen without asking (i.e. train servers a bit better). Atmosphere is 'ok; ' they could make it much cozier and homier-looking. They should get an interior designer to make it a little more this way. But again, food was great and highly recommend it.

The small plates paired with beer were absolutely delicious. Although the menu may appear limited, it is thoughtfully curated and full of creative options. I highly recommend trying the charcuterie and the Brussels sprouts! The bartenders were fantastic as well. My only downside is that the beer selection can change, so if you find a favorite, it might not be available on your next visit (I've learned this from experience—ha!). However, the beer flight is a great way to sample four different beers. Overall, the service and atmosphere were excellent!
