I've been coming to this Pizza Hut location for nearly 20 years, and I've never had any issues until after the pandemic. The management team has always been great, and the delivery service was excellent until a couple of months ago. Recently, it took almost three hours for my pizza to be delivered. The next time I craved pizza, I finally gave in and ordered from Domino's. It's disheartening to see this business decline. I suppose all good things really do come to an end.
It took an incredibly long two hours to place an order through the app! They don’t inform customers that their order will take two hours until after it’s already placed. That’s information customers should have before making an order! If I had known it would take this long, I would have chosen a different restaurant. This has happened several times before, and I’m really fed up with Pizza Hut. I’m seriously thinking about never ordering from them again!
This is the worst Pizza Hut in the USA! Generally, Pizza Hut offers a good product, but the service at this particular location is unbelievably terrible. I ordered a pizza and breadsticks online for delivery at 7:00 PM. Within 15 minutes, I received a text stating my order was out for delivery. However, two hours later, it still hadn’t arrived. I tried calling multiple times—six times in total. Twice, my calls were answered, but the staff claimed they were only handling pick-up orders and then hung up on me. The other four calls went unanswered. Since I had already been charged $36, I decided to drive to Pizza Hut to pick up my order. The employee, who was heavily pierced and clearly incompetent, opened the warming oven and handed me my pizza and breadsticks. She was extremely rude and refused to give me her name. Once I got home, I found that the pizza was cold and tasted like cardboard. Additionally, they charged me $7 for a tip, even though I requested a refund for it. Maybe it’s because I’m older, but I forgot that this same dreadful experience happened to me at this exact Pizza Hut about a year ago! Sorry, Pizza Hut; you may make good pizzas, but this location on John J Delaney Dr in Charlotte, NC has convinced me to avoid all Pizza Huts in the future!
Update. Got through to the store, talked to the manager, Marcus, and he explained that he remembered making my order and mentioned that it was likely delivered (by food delivery service-not through PizzaHut) accidentally to the wrong location and that address. He was kind enough to give me a $15 voucher plus refund my money and was very nice. He totally changed my mind! This was my previous review: Unbelievable! I ordered a pizza last Friday and I?m still waiting! Got that text that says it?s on the way. No refund, yet!
If there was a NEGATIVE 20 option, I would have given it! It 's been over 90 minutes and at least 50 of those the tracking app has told me my 'hot pizza is on the way '. I 'm thinking not at this point! I TRIED to call the store directly to ask about my order but was pushed into an endless loop of automated messages. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ... 0/10 FOR SURE. FUN FACT...they were very quick to pull the money out of my account to deliver NOTHING!!!
