Why just a 2 star rating? the accommodation has changed from a restaurant with a bar to a bar environment. we ordered a personal pizza, 2 appetizers and 2 entrees. the pizza came out, then about 10 minutes later the appetizers arrived and after at least 10 minutes the escapes came so that our party of 4 had ended to eat 3 different times. a little expensive for the amount of food, over price for quality. it will take at least 8 years until we come back whenever
I haven't had a great experience with this place lately. I used to love getting pizza at Libretto's but the last few visits have been disappointing. One time there was an employee that was off and then while I was already being checked out by another employee, this person came to the register and started slapping it? Really weird? They then started mumbling something to me. I have no idea what they were saying but I was very uncomfortable. The second time, they burned my pizza but instead of letting me know via communication as I was standing there waiting for it, I had to point out, like is that MY pizza and then they finally said yes and told me to wait while they made a new one. It was the lack of communication that turned me off. And NO, they were not busy during these times. I don't know, they seem to be sloppy these days.
I used to love Libretto’s- it was the only pizza I would order. But, the past 3-4 times I’ve gotten pizza from them I have been disappointed (received cold pizza, additional toppings not included, special instructions not recognized). Last night was the last and final time for me. The pizza was meh…fine enough to eat but mostly we regretted wasting money on it. For a $30 medium pizza, there should be SOME wow-factor but it was overall bland despite having pepperoni, red peppers, sausage, and ricotta cheese on it. Several times I’ve actually had to add things to the pizza when it got delivered and put it in the oven to best it up to eating temperature. One thing that has annoyed me MANY times with them is that when I order delivery, I always ask for ranch/bleu cheese in the “special instructions” box (because they took off the actual place to click a box to add the condiments to your order) but never not one time have I gotten the ranch/bleu cheese! That may seem like a small thing but 1. Their ranch is pretty great, and 2. I’ve asked in-store “how do I ensure this will be added to my online order?” and that’s what they said to do. When the pizza is as bland as theirs has become, you truly need the dipping condiment. Overall, disappointing pizza and entirely overpriced for what you get.
Will NOT bother ordering here again. Did an online order paid $67. Someone called from the store stating the drivers car wouldn’t start. Ok, I know things happen and I'm a pretty patient person knowing it’s hard finding people to work. BUT it’s obvious our food sat around for awhile. Sandwiches luke warm at best, fries cold and soggy. They were soaked in condensation from a plastic container. Oh and my salad… how do you mess that up? The lettuce was warmer than the sandwiches. Inedible! You could of compensated or at the very least apologized. We eat out a lot and this is the first time writing a review. That’s saying something
The people were nice. I was thrown by their reference to NYC Juniors. It's not the same reference to the cheesecake diner in NYC. People were great although they didn't have all of their meats a d breads available so I couldn't get what I really wanted.
