Fishy Fish Market - Charlotte

I have looked everywhere for mullet, a favorite fish I grew up eating in the Florida gulf coast. No one has it in Charlotte.. Until we found Fishy Fishy market! The fish was fresh, filleted perfectly, and huge!I'm so happy we found this place. It was my birthday and having my favorite meal made it perfection. I'll be a regular from now on.

This place is the bomb. Everything you need for your fish fry. Whiting. Grouper. Flounder. Catfish. Perch. Croaker. Red snapper. Crabs. Lobster. Shrimp. Best spot in Charlotte for buying good fish. And they will cook it for you, or give you 8 different choices of how you want it prepared to take home and cook yourself. Just the best. Been going for years.

Buyer BEWARE!I come to this place often, because it's the only place that I know that has Black Bass. I have no reason to lie because I would like to go back...BUT!They charged me twice on 2 different machines. I now have 3 different charge amounts from them on 2 different cards.First they stated my charge didn't go through so I had to swipe on another machine...I had more than enough money on my card but after they charged me once the second time the card didn't go through so I had to use another payment.They wanted me to drive across town to prove that they didn't charge me but when I looked at my account it says they did. Cashier was rude as heck!

Not what it used to be. I’ve eaten here many times. Always found it to be good food at tourist prices. Now it’s bad food at tourist prices. Started with a Mahi bites appetizer. The fish bits alternated between tasty and fishy. Ordered the fish and chips for main course. Wife had the flounder plate. It was 15-20 minutes after our appetizer was finished that the food showed up. My cod fish was light and tasty. Unfortunately the breading coating was burnt. It just broke apart from the fish. All this for $78? I should have gone to Wendy’s. Very disappointed.

I just love this place. I have been getting my seafood from here for 9 years. The staff is friendly, it’s clean, they support other local small businesses and they have the best pricing in Charlotte. They will not disappoint. They do not cook the seafood.
