We tried the fried green tomatoes appetizer, which was delicious but very oily. Adding some bread to soak up the excess oil would greatly improve the dish. For our main courses, we ordered three tacos (pork belly, el pastor, shrimp) and a Hawaiian burger. Everything was cooked perfectly, including the tater tots which had a wonderfully crispy exterior without being greasy. We also sampled a few cocktails, but found them overly sweet and not enjoyable. It's worth noting that the drink menu listed ingredients that were not actually available (such as Luxardo cherries in the Elizabeth Old Fashioned). When we inquired about this discrepancy, our server informed us that maraschino cherries were the only option they had. Overall, our experience was average and not one we would make a special trip to revisit.
After hearing about their amazing patio experience, I tried this restaurant for the first time. I wish the outside bar had been open, but the atmosphere was still fantastic. The fans kept us cool and on Fridays they have $6 drinks. The cocktails were delicious, especially the seasonal pineapple Mule. The Tatchos and fried pickles were must-tries, and I loved the option to get chargrilled wings. The grouper fish taco was phenomenal. I will definitely be returning to try more menu items. I have been back a few times now and it never disappoints.
I decided to have tacos for dinner and started with 2 pork belly and 1 steak taco, along with a side of waffle fries. The tacos were a bit small, but they were delicious. The steak tacos were particularly outstanding, so I ended up ordering two more along with trying the homemade Mac and Cheese. Every bite was bursting with flavor. The combination of grilled onions and bleu cheese complemented the tender steak perfectly. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant.
Out first time here. We went for the Queen’s Feast. The food was delicious came out quickly. Our server was awesome! Great place for “pub fare”. The downstairs area was very loud with people trying to talk over the musician (who was great, btw). If you want a quieter experience, ask to eat upstairs. We’ll be back. The menu prices are very reasonable.
We visited Caswell during Restaurant Week on Thursday-it was our first visit. Honestly, we were surprised that it is basically a sports bar, as the exterior doesn’t portray that. But, we had a solid first experience, the service being excellent, and the food surprisingly tasty. For a casual evening this is a fun place to go!
