Amelie’s French Bakery Cafe Carmel Commons

Inconsistent food, inconsistent service, decent pastries and baked goods. It’s better than a Starbucks if you don’t mind waiting an hour for pickup orders

This restaurant is a unique and eclectic spot with friendly service. I initially came for macaroons but ultimately decided to try the delicious caramel brownie torte instead. It was absolutely delicious. To balance out the richness of the dessert, I ordered a light roast coffee. It was stronger than I anticipated, but I still had a great experience overall during my visit.

The desserts are consistently fantastic, and the food has also improved. The soups are absolutely delicious. However, some menu items are priced too high.

What a great place to stop by for a quick coffee and French bakery. The bakery is always fresh out-of-the-oven. The seating and the ambience is perfect whether it is for somebody doing stuff on their laptops or people chatting. The foods I would say are reasonably priced and offer a great selection. Highly recommended.
