They usually have a few tomb and go sandwiches and a few options on the hot bar, pizza and a good selection of desserts. Today I had a TLTA (which was not good at all), some Mac and cheese (very nooch based I personally like), and a piece of Chicago Diner cheesecake. They also have a good selection of vegan foods that are not available in my market (e.g. BE-Hive Pfefferoni). I wouldn't recommend going out the way, but if you're looking for a fast meal in Uptown, it's one of the better options
To be fair, I think that Whole Foods is not 100% back to full service with their hot/cold bars where you build your own meals and pay by weight, but there were slim pickings. I was a few times this week while I was in town for a convention and whether it was breakfast or lunch, it was very much what was offered. There were vegan choices and of course they tasted great, but I would like to see more in general. What is the point of returning only a part of it when you sell out constantly? Other than that, can't complain. It's food. An expensive, but great stuff.
Like almost any other WFM, this one is amazing too! Great variety of different (red) vegan and gluten-free products and fresh food! Also the offer of non-food items is great!
I was in home2 suites, which is a hotel right next to all foods and was so excited to go there every night for dinner. I bought so much food it was unfortunately extremely disappointed because most of it just didn't taste as good as it looked. The grab n Go Foods included things like a vegan chicken salad pack, falafel wrap, hummus rap, vegan potstickers and a few very expensive vegan entrees like a $13 sweet chili tofu. The chicken salad wrap was pretty good, but the other wraps only looked really dry the potstickers were not good at all I ate two and threw the rest away. The hot bar had hardly anything to choose what was vegan, but they had a vegan veggie pizza sold by the slice and a lentil and spinach soup. The piece of pizza and lentil soup were the best things I had during my trip. I also took one of their entree and two side options that the entree was a vegan Spanakopita and my size were a vegan superfood salad and Brussel sprouts with Pecans. The superfood salad had a kind of vinegar that my tongue burned in the cale was extremely stringy. The brussel sprouts had very little taste and the spanakopita also had some vinegar taste on it. Some other type of pack-and-go stuff that were really good that I were some avocado sushi, chocolate cake and vegan brownies. Overall, I spent a lot of money there, but a lot of it went right into the garbage. My favorites were pizza, lentil soup, sushi, brownies, and that's all about it.
