Pigs Eatin Ribs - Charlevoix

My wife and I visited this restaurant on June 6th. I’m not sure how long they’ve been in business, but I doubt they’ll last much longer. Firstly, if ribs aren't smoked, they're just meat on a bone—not genuine ribs. Good ribs should fall off the bone when cooked properly, and these were not good ribs at all. Secondly, barbecue sauce should be thick and cling to the meat, but here, it was runny and dripped off. Finally, regardless of what you order, you should receive a plate for your food instead of having to eat off the platter that it’s served on. Ribs need to be cooked low and slow until they truly fall off the bone, and then they should be coated in a sweet, thick sauce that adheres to the ribs.

The food here is fantastic, and I've been a fan for a long time. However, it's important to note that this is no longer a dine-in restaurant; they are not open to the public at this location anymore. They're now focused solely on catering. While they do operate food trucks at various events, you can't dine in here. I understand the need to adapt business models, but it's frustrating that Google still lists them as open to the public when they aren't. My ratings: Food: 5, Service: 1, Atmosphere: 1.

I've been enjoying Pig Eating Ribs since it started out as a small food truck, and they just keep getting better, adding more delicious options to their already impressive menu. One of the highlights is that they cater for private events, weddings, or even just a fun gathering with family and friends at home. I highly recommend the chicken wings and the pulled pork; both are fantastic! The food is amazing, and the service is top-notch, with owners and staff who truly care about the customer experience and the quality of what they serve.

Miss this restaurant terribly. I adored their Pig Marbles..
