The truffle fries were pretty lackluster too. But the worst was probably the service. When we were seated, there was a large puddle below my chair that the staff said was from yesterdays rain. I questioned why they didn’t mop it up before seating their guests-kind of a no brainer. Then when I asked that it be mopped, the waiter gave me attitude and complained that he had to go wash his hands several times. I’m sorry I didn’t want to be seated in a puddle? Then came the laughing gulls that were nearly swooping into other guests on the balcony while picking food off plates left by other servers after guests had left for 10-15 minutes. Waiters had come by several times and somehow not noticed the birds landing in the tables. Then when someone finally did come to remove the plates, they left trash and fries on the ground below the table and did not clean it up before seating more guests at that table. If I was managing this place, I would be ripping my staff! Horrible service here. And to top it off, our server was wearing a crochet hat and sunglasses and was very inattentive and uninterested in providing a quality experience.
I wont eat a burger unless it’s from the watch, Amazing! I’ve always had take-out, but dined in for the first time and it was nice. Sarah was my server and she was so authentic:
Rooftop dining atop an old hotel in downtown Charleston. Interesting, eclectic menu. Most prices $10 $20, with premium seafood items, such as scallops, $35 and up. My wife loved her interesting nachos (not typical nachos). My dinner came with fries which can be upgraded. I got truffle cheese fries. Addictive!Side note, we don't know why, but about half the customers were gorgeous, single women.
Beautiful spot that 's easily overlooked, just off the hustle and bustle of King Street.Lunch at the bar. Beautiful views, outstanding cocktails and service. Chicken sandwich looked pretty, didn 't taste so great. Left the majority of that uneaten, but everything else was top notch. The Charleston Sunsets is highly recommended.
Service was really good. The waitress made some really good drink recommendations and even explained to us what the party pouch was.Food was really underwhelming and felt just very average. The nachos best part was the chips otherwise there just wasn't any flavor at all. The sliders again were just fine but really not memorable.
