The Rise - Charleston

During a weekend getaway to Charleston, my husband and I decided to visit this coffee shop after coming across it online. The place has a charming aesthetic and is conveniently located in downtown, but unfortunately, the espresso and service didn’t quite meet our expectations. The barista seemed somewhat irritated while we were ordering, responding with brief, one-word answers during our interaction. Additionally, the prices were on the higher side; a single shot of espresso costs $4, meaning a plain double shot would set you back $8!

What a fantastic local gem in downtown Charleston! Tucked away on a back street, Rise is a charming little coffee shop adorned with adorable earthy décor and plenty of greenery. I tried their iced latte, and the coffee was exceptional. I will definitely return!

This charming little coffee shop offers excellent coffee. The iced vanilla almond latte was robust and delicious. I enjoyed the caramel toffee latte, although it was a bit too sweet for my taste. I will definitely return for another visit!

Delicious coffee, but is a small spot if you want to eat indoors. Great for a coffee to go!
