Ru Ru's Tacos Tequila - Charleston

Amazing cool evening at Ru Ru’s! Thought it would be very expensive and yuppy. Nope, perfect place for everyone in the best area of Charleston! The food and drinks were spot on, highly recommended and even better service.

We did taco Tuesday here and let me tell you….DELICIOUS FRICKIN’ TACOS and such a great environment! I loved the names of their dishes too, cute and witty. Highly recommend!

If you want Mexican with a twist then give these guys a try! There were over 20 different taco choices al le carte styled that allowed me to choose 4 amazing flavors. The burritos are huge (take what you are thinking and double it so bring your appetite.We both tried their house infused jalapeno margarita and were impressed with the flavors, enough to order a second round!We were on the street side and enjoyed the atmosphere of the city and dined with great service. RuRu's is on my list of great experiences while in Charleston.Vegetarian options: They had several options to cater to all preferences.Kid-friendliness: The atmosphere was chill enough that I would bring everyone to enjoy.Wheelchair accessibility: Low thresholds at doors (less than 3 tight maneuvering in the door, around the hoststand and bar when guests are waiting to be seated. Does have three foot clearances to enter and exit . Highly suggest taking advantage of the steet-side dining options to make it most convenient.

While the server and hostess were polite prompt, they should be given raises for having to serve such AWFUL FOOD! These were the worst tacos I've ever taken a bite of. One featured canned corn, limp jalapenos from a jar, and what looked to be the leftover bits in the bottom of a bag of frozen tenders. The steak on another had zero flavor. While the Korean BBQ flavor wasn't bad, the presentation looked like something someone left on a table in the school cafeteria a week ago! Not surprising considering a trip to the restroom offered a peek at the kitchen which looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in a month. I wouldn't eat here again as a ghost!

Awesome food, great atmosphere, and a great staff. Hostess, bartender, bar back, and server were outstanding. Props! Would recommend to anyone
