Rosie O'Grady's was a quick decision stop for a pre fixe meal before a show. It was editable and not awful but also not something that I would come back for. The crab cake was very oily. The filet was good and cooked correctly but the baked potato was covered in melted cheese and didn't look appetizing. Service was good and we were seated quickly for a Friday evening.
We always enjoy going to Rosie O'Gradys when we are in NYC. The food was good, the service good and the price was right. It was a little loud in Rosie but that normal for and Irish put. One thing we did notice the menu has expanded but the Irish food section was very small. There should be more of the standards offered along with the new variety of foods.
We wanted to come here before the location closes down for good. I ordered the fried cod. Although the fish itself was juicy and delicious, the outer part was not beautifully golden. It was burned. One of us ordered the open steak sandwich. The meat looked a little sad. It was ok. One of us ordered the turkey club. It was good and basic although it was not freshly carved turkey. Service was spotty. The host was very nice and friendly. Our server was not that attentive. She forgot that we ordered a coke. When we reminded her there was no apology. She just said just a minute and walked away. Refilled our water after we were done eating. Nothing to be super mad about but these details can be make or break for a restaurant to succeed.
We went to Rosie O'Grady's because Neil Diamond loves this place. We were attending A Beautiful Noise for the matinee performance so lunch beforehand was appropriate. The food was great and we loved the atmosphere!
