Locals recommended this hidden gem to us. After a long day of travel, we spent our first few hours in this fantastic city looking for a cozy atmosphere, a variety of local beers, a quick snack, good conversation, and the chance to mingle with the locals. This spot exceeded our expectations! Nick, the bartender, was truly exceptional—friendly, helpful, and professional. Even though the bar was busy, he went above and beyond to offer suggestions and answer all our questions. He’s definitely one of the best bartenders around! This place really set the tone for our visit.

This restaurant is perfectly situated in the heart of downtown Charleston, making it easily accessible from anywhere in the area. It's located inside the Belmond Hotel, which has entrances on both King and Meeting Streets; this restaurant can be found on the Meeting Street side, which is why it bears that name. To avoid a wait on a busy Saturday afternoon, we decided to sit at the bar, and I’m glad we did. The service was excellent, and the food was outstanding. We enjoyed a vegan meal, and while you'll need to inquire about various side dishes and appetizers, we were still thoroughly satisfied with our choices.

This is the best grilled cheese I've ever had! As a part-time local, I can confidently say this is my favorite spot.

Came here for our first night in Charleston and I can't say enough about our late evening meal. The staff was friendly, the food good and the environment pleasant. We were able to watch the NCAA games and Oscars at the same time. Our waiter was so pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu.
