Jestine's Kitchen - Charleston

I was a little disappointed in Jestine's KitchenFrom the reviews I expected some amazing fried chicken, but the chicken we got was over done and dry.

Great food at a good price! My mom is from South Carolina and she used to make us fried chicken when we were growing up.

Went with the entire tribe, 4 grandchildren had one table adults the otherThat, by itself, was great. Waited outside a short time & was seated.

It was my first time ever to be in Charleston and visit Jestines, and I will be back!!! I had the seafood plate consisting of pecan roasted whiting, roasted shrimp and oysters. I don't like oysters, so they let them off the plate. It came with red rice and green beans, but you can choose your own pages. Everything was delicious, from homemade cucumbers, corn bread and honey butter and my food... Man was all delicious!!! The service was great and I will be back!!!

If you want to visit Charleston SC at any time, please make sure Jestines is on your list! The best roasted chicken, crowned greens, roasted okra, cornbread etc....etc... that you can eat everywhere!!! Brings back many good memories!!! Thanks for the southern hospitality!!!!
