Hubee D's - Charleston

My husband I visited Charleston spontaneously went to this place. What an amazing discovery! We immediately liked the place when we recognized boiled peanuts were free supplements to our meal (self-service at the drinks counter). They were delicious! When we got our food, we realized we had found a jewel. My husband was incredibly impressed by the wings I have ordered through the taste and texture of the delicious packaging (drilled chicken, cranberries, goat cheese). We're from Charlotte and we both thought about how close the next hub D could be. We ended with a nice conversation with one of the managers, Doug, and we were pleased to find out that there are a few locations right in the Charlotte area. To complete everything, he treated us to a friend banana pudding dessert (local favorites) and it was heavenly! We loved this place! Great service, great food!

Best Peace Chicken and Beyond... Someone needed to share a positive review for this place. It may not be extraordinary, but that’s exactly why you come here. It serves classic southern fried comfort food. It’s my go-to spot for roasted chicken on weekends. The staff is friendly, there’s plenty of sauce (without the extra charge like at Zaxby’s), and the prices are more reasonable than Chick-fil-A. I’d recommend this restaurant if you’re in town; it’s definitely better than Zaxby’s or Chick-fil-A. Otherwise, they’re quite similar. Give it a try and don’t forget to enjoy the complimentary roasted and cooked peanuts!

Enjoy it immensly! The fried peanuts are very tasty, the chicken finger basket was great, though something too salty, the staff was great, and I loved seeing the Studebaker pickup outside. All in all, a fun culinary experience and the food is also great. What is that?

I was pleasantly surprised. After traveling to Charleston countless times, I finally decided to try this place, and it turned out to be a fantastic choice. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the owners are two of the nicest people you'll ever meet. The Nabee D's sauce was outstanding, along with the other five sauces available for you to enjoy. You can really tell they put a lot of care into their food, and it shows in the quality of their chicken. While you wait, you can also enjoy as many cooked peanuts as you like. Overall, it was a great experience, and I have to mention their banana bread ice cream—it's absolutely delicious!

The highlight for me was the Fried Banana Pudding. It was adorable and absolutely delicious, the perfect portion size. I plan to order one every time we visit! My husband and I were surprised to read another review comparing the food here to that of other local restaurants that don’t use fresh ingredients. One of the standout aspects of Hubee D’s is that they prioritize fresh ingredients. Plus, many items on their menu are made from scratch, and you can be assured that Hubee D's chicken is never frozen. Be sure to check the back of the menu when you go; it explains what sets Hubee D's apart from the rest. A big thank you to the owner and staff for providing such a refreshing dining experience.
