Holy cow, this place! The hush puppies were the best I’ve ever had! The grilled scallops were divine! They bread and fry their own okra, which was amazing. If I lived here, this restaurant would be a weekly stop. Our server was so friendly and helpful! She offered us to go drinks and boxes and made great recommendations. It just goes to prove you don’t have to spend hundreds of dollars for an amazing meal. And I’m mailing in a picture of my grandmother for the wall of grandmas! Would come back to Charleston just to eat here.

My husband had the Seafood Purloo and it was absolutely amazing! I went thinking I wanted seafood too, but then was pulled in by the comfort, soul food. The meatloaf, mashed potatoes, collard greens, and fried okra really hit the spot. I definitely recommend this place for a great meal! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
