Delaney Oyster House - Charleston

This place is such a gem! We had an incredible early lunch here this past Sunday. Our server, Maverick, was great with knowledge of the menu and patient with putting the sides of the patio down when it started raining on us. He also provided us some downtown Charleston recs. The food and drinks were phenomenal. We would definitely recommend for a nice meal!

Nice laid back atmosphere, server was amazing, however the menu was not what I expected not many options and over priced. Blue crab rice seemed to only had one claw worth of meat and the rice was hard and crunchy. Drinks were nice.

Our server was wonderful. Accommodated our request and made everything on the menu sound amazing. The food was great! We had the melon salad which was a playful plate of summer. Only negative was the excruciating heat which was uncomfortable for my 65 year old mother and 3 year old daughter. Drinks were a tad diluted and didn't match the tastiness of the food.

This was a welcome surprise after having visited the other historic sights in Atlanta. The service was excellent, as was the food. The name Delaney is used by three generations of men in my family. It was definitely meant for me to dine here.

Reminds me a bit of Husk. Oysters are really top notch (as the name implies). Creative cocktails and delicious mains. I’ll be back.
