Chuck's Seafood - Charleston

I've been a customer of Chuck's Seafood for over 30 years. Always good seafood, their smoked fish is top notch and the shrimp cocktails are fresh and delicious.

This was my second time in chuck's the first I got a large cut of halibut it was amazing. This time only some cod but it was fresh. The workers were in a mood and seemed to be a bit off.I love the fish didn't like the aditude that came with it. We all have bad days, I expect the ocean to be salty not the workers.

Thought their clam chowder would be a good choice based off their location... Boy, I was wrong. I removed the potatos and what few clams they used and made myself a wonderful wall paper paste. This stuff worked great, paper aint goin ' no where. Soups and chowders that sit in a warm crock all day need to be rehydrated several times in an 8 hour shift, or you wind up with wall paper paste. Save a trip to Home Depot and get your wall paper paste here...you can 't beat it, it 's real sticky!Check the Rockfish for bones too. Young girls working don 't know their products all that well. When asked if bones are in fish I was told no, of course...pulled bones outta my throat with my fingers that night. Instead of a definite No, maybe an answer like... there might be bones, be careful, should be the response when asked. This place is definetly not your best option....No lifeguard on duty, Eat at your own risk!

The sour dough clam chowder bread bowl is awesome,also tried the garlic fries. WOW ,The garlic was to strong.

We were in Charleston last year and became addicted to Chuck's smoked salmon jalapeno sticks and smoked albacore. I ordered a shipment for the dads for Father's Day and it arrived perfectly packed and cold to my door in Oklahoma. Thanks Chuck!
