Chez Nous - Charleston

We originally had dinner reservations for Chez Nous, but last minute decided to walk in around noon for lunch instead. The menu is the same, but the atmosphere was immaculate. With it being slightly early on a Friday, the dreamy restaurant was quiet, with just a few other diners. We sat at the bar and our waiter, Ryan, greeted us and told us all about the menu concept and wines. The menu is simple, only 6 options, and changes every day. But the food is anything but boring. This lovely small restaurant is a bit tricky to locate, but with GPS it's not too hard to find. The menu changes often and the handwritten elements add a nice touch. My boyfriend and I ordered different dishes so we were able to sample the entire menu together. The duck was excellent and the cauliflower served alongside it was perfect. Our server, Ryan, was very knowledgeable and accommodating. The wine we ordered was delightful. The rice pudding was so delicious, I can't stop thinking about it!

Food is pretty good, I?ve had better. I was expecting my meal to be a greater experience based on the reviews, price, and other dining experiences in Charleston. Maybe I came on an off day. I wish I got a picture of my salad, it was beautiful and tasty. Ambiance: charming, I loved the look! Service: excellent

Chez Nous is the perfect, secret neighborhood restaurant, with exceptional cuisine, a lovely, candlelit atmosphere and an amazing waitstaff. My wife and I stumbled upon the little tucked away restaurant totally by chance, and had an amazing meal. Hilton, our waiter, was maybe the best ever— could not recommend the restaurant more highly.

Not recommended. Expensive and not delicious at all. There’s lots of mosquito and flies if you sit outside.
