Callie's Hot Little Biscuit

I was pleasantly surprised by how big and fluffy the biscuits were! The bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit was fantastic. And if you're not a fan of the preset biscuit options, you have the flexibility to create your own!

Incredible! This was hands down the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had. We sampled a variety of dishes, and everything was fantastic! Forget the trendy breakfast spots and head straight here! Food: 5/5

The biscuits were enjoyable, but I have one major complaint about the chicken. They promoted a "fried chicken" biscuit for $14, but I witnessed an employee remove a piece of frozen chicken from a store-brand bag and place it in the oven. The chicken wasn't fried at all and was quite disappointing—definitely not worth the price. I recommend sticking with the regular biscuits and jam instead.

I was not aware of the hype surrounding Callie's before we visited Charleston, I just love biscuits and my daughter and I were walking through the market. A bouncy lady next to me in line told me that it was THE Callie taking my order or else I would have never known. Callie was just so sweet, like all of the staff, and very helpful in going over the varieties that were laid out nicely on the counter. I chose two savory and they were good but my god, the blackberry shortcake one was the best! I was so sad when I finished it. They are not traditional biscuits in that they are smaller and more dense and crumbly but the ingredients were so well incorporated into the dough that every bite was just as good as the one before. I'll stop back tomorrow before we fly out to pick up some dry mixes and I'll try to recreate the magic at home.

Drip coffee was good. The pimento cheese, sausage and egg biscuit was just ok. Also got a sampling of cinnamon, blackberry and shortcake biscuits and all were tough and dried out even the cinnamon one that was buttered up. The service was great and very friendly staff.
