Marco's Pizza 8401 - Chapel Hill

This restaurant used to be a favorite of ours. The delivery was consistently fast, and the food arrived hot. However, that has changed recently. During our last few orders, the delivery has been significantly delayed, even when we scheduled it for a specific time. Today, my wife ordered a pizza for 6:00 PM, but it didn’t arrive until 6:40 PM, and it was barely warm. When we inquired about the delay, we received no clear answer. The service is not what it used to be, and I’m starting to doubt their reliability with delivery times.

My family has been enjoying pizza, salad, and brownies from this restaurant since the beginning of COVID, and we used to love it! However, over the past 5 or 6 months, things have changed. We often don’t receive what we ordered. One time, the pizza was undercooked, and it made us sick. Today, we ordered a large cheese pizza and a pepperoni, but what we received was burnt and had an extremely tough crust, so we ended up throwing it out. This has happened several times now. The salads used to be fantastic, but now most of them have gone uneaten. There’s a new Marco’s in Pittsboro, which is over an extra 40-minute drive each way, but we think we'll give it a try.

The pizza and salad were fantastic! Despite only having three staff members on duty, they did an amazing job managing everything while keeping a smile on their faces.

The order should take an hour twice as long as normal. After 1.5 hours, you could only say that you're sorry for being on the list last time and the driver is only on #3. We canceled the order and had to cook dinner for the children. There was no excuse for your experience or credit to the next order. It is a badly managed institution and the employees/administrations do not care. Unfortunately, there are limited options so they stay.

Great food, friendly staff, prompt delivery love this store! Our large family Christmas eve gathering loved the pizzas, salads, and chicken nuggets. Delivered early and perfectly accurate. We will order again soon!
