El Rey Taco - Chapala

La señora Mary cocina muy bien. Es muy atenta y tiene muy buen trato. Le pedimos una taquiza para un evento familiar y todos quedamos muy contentos con la calidad y presentación de los guisos.

Mi esposa y yo hemos venido dos veces hasta ahora, la primera para comer. Ella pidio la enasalada de pollo y yo la arrachera y cervezas para los dos. La comida estuvo deliciosa, la carne muy sabrosa y suavecita, la ensalada muy fresca y tambien muy buena, incluso el aderezo. La segunda vez solamente nos sentamos en los sillones que recien habian instalado a tomar unas margaritas y botana. El lugar es un jardincito cubierto muy agradable, el servicio muy amable y los precios razonables. Esta abierto toda la tarde, lo cual es muy conveniente, ya que muchos lugares cierran alrededor de las 5 y si por alguna razon tienes que comer tarde, las opciones son mucho mas limitadas.

I went to El Rey Taco when Marco left the Chapala Country Club and now helps his brother and his family run their restaurant. We had grouping and salad, it was excellent and Marco gave us some of their special dishes, ribs, and they were great. So during the quarantine we order from Marco.

Our neighborhood decided to dine out as a group. Our numbers grew until the day before. Elba at the restaurant was on top of everything. We ended up with 34. The place is a picnic type place, lots of shade and exceedingly clean. The food was great. I think the best ribs at lakeside. We had ribs, chicken, chorizo, scalloped potatoes, salad, cole slaw and BBQ beans. It was fresh and the supply kept being replenished. Everyone in our group thought the food was wonderful. The price was insane, just 100 pesos per person. 2 for 1 margaritas, not the best, but hey! There were 2 waitresses and they were all over the place. They were efficiency personified. Other restaurants could take tips from these women. They also have great, big stuffed baked potatoes. If you want good BBQ, call and make reservations....you won't be disappointed.

All the food is very good but Wednesday is reserved for BBQ The restaurant is hard to find but worth the search. More of a picnic atmosphere.
