Sit Here! We started trying a number of different dishes. And everything was delicious, unique, authentic and highly flavored! We took a seat around noon and after 4 hours we are still having a nice drink after the delicious lunch. The staff occasionally have a chat and the atmosphere of the restaurant is very pleasant. We went there twice during our stay and will have great memories of it. The place is very quiet in the middle of the small village, with a very pretty view from the pleasant terrace of the mountains and the sea. Friendly welcome, but above all the food was really excellent. Boureki is by far the best and tastiest I have eaten in Crete. In short, simple and authentic cuisine with taste! The first time we had delicious grapes and a small vial of raki offered at the end of the meal but not the second time, which would have been nice to help us digest our excellent meal, but that's just a detail and it in no way taints our experience. Also worth tasting on site are small pots of traditional sheep's milk ice cream (vanilla or chocolate), surprising but very good. I highly recommend this family tavern!
